No mixer needed for this Banana Bread; it’s easy to make and even easier to eat! I forego the extra 1/4 cup of sugar when I make this loaf but if you’re used to store-bought banana bread you may want to add in the additional white sugar. When I’m craving chocolate, I leave out the spices (other than vanilla) and add 1/3 cup mini milk chocolate chips. Another great add in is 1/3 cup walnuts which I typically incorporate around the holidays.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe Bananas
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup White Sugar (only if you prefer a sweeter loaf)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom
- 1/2 tsp Ginger
- 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Grease and flour a 9 inch loaf pan
- Mash the 3 ripe Bananas well with a fork
- Add the melted Butter and whisk well
- Add the Egg, Sugar and remaining ingredients (except the flour) and mix well
- Slowly add the flour 1/2 cup at a time and continue to mix
- Add batter to greased and floured loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center
Enjoy, Happy Baking!

This looks delicious! I absolutely love that you use cardamom. I’ve never thought of that before. I have a ton of it in my cupboard so I guess I’ll be making this banana bread soon!
