Mulled Wine Cranberry Sauce

If you’re looking to try something new and ensure all your guests want the recipe after tasting it, this one’s for you! My Mulled Wine Cranberry Sauce encompasses festive fall flavours into a mildly sweet sauce that serves as the perfect side-kick to your stuffed turkey. When choosing the red wine opt for something smooth, I like Bodacious Cabernet Sauvignon.

  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional add in for a a cranberry sauce with more of a Sangria feel:
    • 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries

  1. Wash cranberries
  2. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil
  3. Turn the heat down to medium low and continue monitoring and stirring for 15 minutes or until mixture thickens.
  4. Enjoy!
